Mallorca Team Sponsor of the German Polo Championship in Landsberg/Lech
27.06.-29.06.2008 and 04.-06.07.2008
23.07.08 – This was the first time that the German Polo Championship had taken place in the lovely Bavarian Landsberg/Lech instead of its usual location in Berlin. Throughout the bright, sunny weather, six teams competed over two weekends to win the German Low-Goal Championship. Engel & Völkers and the Tristan Gourmet Group sponsored the Polo Team Landsberg and the most famous player in the team was the German actor, Heino Ferch.
However, at the end of the day the trophy this year was won by the Bentheim Team (near Düsseldorf) and the E&V/Tristan Team finished in a “sporting” fifth position.
A special thanks to our colleagues in Munich who were so supportive. There was a great atmosphere throughout the tournament, which provided a good opportunity to have an insider’s view into this fascinating sport and the world of polo.

06/11/07 – On the 18th of October key members of the prestigious luxury UK property magazine, Country Life, visited the island to promote their forthcoming special edition on Mallorca (due for publication in November). Robert Winsor´s 9th charity tournament
29/03/2007 – This year’s tournament will take place at the Royal Bendinat Golf Course, 7-9th May. Engel & Völkers, who are the main sponsors of the tournament, helped Robert Winsor raise €255,000 euros for underprivileged and disabled children on Mallorca last year, and it is hoped that this year’s event will break that fund raising record.

11/02/2007 – Also in the closed financial year 2006 Engel & Völkers continued the course of enormous growth. The commission revenues generated by the brand rose worldwide by 59% to €123.6 million – the best result to date in the 30-year history of the company!
